About this release
"As long as my heart can beat." Grieg's setting of Hans Christian Andersen's poem became one of the most beloved works in his entire output. In his own transcription for solo piano, the melody is given a new interiority: an accompaniment that mirrors the rhythm of a loving heart, transforming the song into something private and absolute.
