Pieranunzi Plays Previn

'Pieranunzi Plays Previn' is the first EP recorded for Extended Place by Enrico Pieranunzi. Pieranunzi pays homage to André Previn's music, reinterpreting in piano solo five songs written by the American composer for Broadway and Hollywood. It is the first time Enrico Pieranunzi approaches André Previn's music—and at first listen it is clear that an elective affinity links the two musicians. André Previn—11 times Oscar nominee, 4 times Oscar winner, Grammy winner—wrote for the stage and screen throughout his career, including the musical 'Coco' (1969), starring Katharine Hepburn, from which three of the songs in this EP are taken.
