New Release: Triptych (Inherited Paths)

Triptych (Inherited Paths), the debut album by Italian harpist Valerio Lisci on Extended Place, brings together three major twentieth-century works for solo harp: Carlos Salzedo's Ballade, Heinz Holliger's Präludium, Arioso und Passacaglia, and Ernst Křenek's Harp Sonata, Op. 150. Built around inherited forms — ancient paths that cross musical history — these works are reimagined through the language of the twentieth century. Like three panels of a single triptych, they reveal the harp as a meeting point between memory and reinvention. Recorded in 2019 at Utopia Hall, Haute École de Musique de Lausanne, this is the first official release of the recording.
