New Release: LouLa Sonnets by Ivan Fedele

LouLa Sonnets by Ivan Fedele, performed by Claudio Pasceri and the Ensemble Sequenza 9.3 conducted by Catherine Simonpietri, is out today. A work for cello and six female voices, based on three sonnets by Louise Labé — a major figure of the French Renaissance whose emancipated poetic voice resonates through a vivid interplay between the cello and a female vocal ensemble shaped into a kaleidoscope of lyrical and timbral transformations. The EP includes the live recording of the world premiere at the Late Spring Music Festival 2024, produced for Extended Place by Alessandro Stella and with the support of Reggia di Venaria. LouLa Sonnets is also available in a 45 rpm 12'' vinyl edition.
